Additional Yesterday I Cried: Celebrating The Lessons Of Living And Loving Information

What is the lesson in abuse, neglect, abandonment, rejection?

What is the lesson when you lose someone you really love?

Just what are the lessons of life's hard times?

Bestselling author Iyanla Vanzant has had an amazing and difficult life -- one of great challenges that unmasked her wonderful gifts and led to wisdom gained. In this simple audiobook, she uses her own personal experiences to tell how life's hardships can be re-languaged and re-visioned to become lessons that teach us as we grow, heal, and learn to love. The pain of the past does not have to be today's reality. Iyanla Vanzant is an example of how yesterday's tears become the seeds of today's hope, renewal, and strength.

What Customers Say About Yesterday I Cried: Celebrating The Lessons Of Living And Loving:

because we want to sustain on that familiar feeling of anger, resentment and sadness because those feelings are part of our pattern. Another thing I like to add, is that the only reason it took her long to heal is because even when she acknowledge she was wrong she kept repeating the same mistakes over and over so as a reader we should take HER life lessons part of OUR lessons. Because of her own suffering.she enlighten us that no matter how bad our lives may be even if family are unfair to us we must forgive them in order for us to grow.

she changed her mind and every thing else into a positive healthy way. so we can heal faster if we just choose a DIFFERENT direction/path pronto. Eventhough it took her years to HEAL.but the importance is that she acknowledge it, did a lot to heal her but always had faith even when she didnt know what having faith really was, she had faith.

Yesterday I cried, my copy is written all over each page on the margins is highlighted repeatedly.as Iyanla Vanzant retells us different suffering moments of her own life on each chapter, she also gives us some insight and some lessons she learned while repeatedly making the same pattern of mistakes over and over. However, Iyanla demonstrates us that no matter how destructive our past may have been like her own. In other, words get out of our comfort zone NOW to start LIVING.I cant just give everything away, but I highly recommend this book to anyone, its a great read :)

I know from personal expiriences in a given moment when life seems to be faling apart, forgiving is the last thing we want to do. At the moment, of hurt and confusion we are not aware.

It was like an awakening for me and I am now more cautious. More than anything I am grateful for those that reveal steps in their life's journeys in order to help others be free. This book helped me on my journey to just being real with me. I now realize that they don't see things as I do. Reading "Yesterday, I cried" began to speak to my soul about life and the things we sometimes allow to hold us in bondage. This book also opened up my eyes to take a closer look at my children and the relationship I have with them.

Iyanla's story moved me to tears as I recognized alot of similarities in "Rhonda's" and my own life. This book has been truly amazing and life changing for me. Iyanla Vanzant is truly a blessing. I now have some necessary tools to help get my life in order. I picked it up at my local library during a very difficult time in my life. After I racked up a great deal of late fees from the library I knew I needed to purchase my own copy, as I carry it with me and read it often.

I read a quote that experience is the only teacher that gives the test first, and then the lesson. Sometimes, I wanted to say, "Oh, no. You're in the same old situation again.", but then, we all repeat the same senario again and again until we learn the lessons. Iyanla Vanzant has written from her heart of her personal and difficult journey in life. Iyanla proves that again and again for us. All of those lessons are life lessons and she let's us peek into areas and emotions of her life that many would try to hide. I learned a great deal from her style, a "What's the lesson when." heading for each chapter. Even pushing 68 years, I learned new things and ordered copies for all of my children dealing with similar or the same issues.

So if small print with no space in between the lines bother you, this may not be a good edition of the book to purchase. I loved this book, but unfortunetely I did not read the one that I ordered from Amazon. It's a wonderful story with great lessons to be learned. But please purchase a copy of the book. This particular edition is in small print and it was hard for me to read it. So I ended up buying it at a local bookstore where the print was bigger and much easier to read.
